Beta Key help

I received an email with beta invitation yesterday, there is a cdkey inside, there are however 2 things i need answer to.
1. How do i verify the email came actually from Blizz and it's not a scam, for that matter how do i confirm this key is valid?
2. I already have linked Beta to my main profile, i wish to give this key to my mate but i don't want to do it unless i know it's valid and safe.
Im asking this because the scam that pops to my email everyday is disturbing, i keep receiving emails from 'blizzard' that my wow account was closed blah blah even though it's inactive. They keep asking for information. |

Just go to http://eu.battle.net, log in and try to input the key under "Add Game". If it works, it seems to have been legit. If it doesn't no harm done. :) |
