Unable to connect to Battle.net

So I started up my Diablo 2 today and updated. But now when I try to connect to any of the battle.net realms a window pops up in game saying "Connecting to the fastest server". It stays there for a few minutes and finally comes up with an error saying unable to connect to battle.net and to check my modem. I have tried every realm, also tried playing game as administrator. Even tried downloading patch from battle.net and manually updating but that didn't work. if anyone has a solution I would really appreciate it. Thank you! |

Posting account and cd-key selling info in your profile can get the account permanently closed. I've wiped the profile this time but next time I'll have no choice but to close it.
I see no IP restrictions right now on the IP address last used by the account.
If you use a firewall app, remove and re-add the Diablo II executable to it's allowed applications list. When the game is patched, the executable changes which causes some security apps to kick in and prevent access as they believe the file may have been compromised unless you specifically allow it again. |

The account you're posting from was created In August 2010.
Here's a snippet from what the profile said before I erased it.
"Acc for sale, 2 fully outfitted level 80's with very high level gear including........Will also in clude cd keys for Diablo 2 and LoD exp
Did you perhaps buy the account yourself from someone advertising it and never erase the profile? |
