first + i compared the pic to that of the ltych king and they are a direct match if those are eyes in the center. blizzard just took us all for a ride. not to say diablo 3 isn't a real possibility just not the splashes.

The theory that the numbers are from "LOST" seems plausible - actually, it's the only reasonable explanation now for those numbers...

The Splash Screen and those purple-monster-pictures are about two different games.

Obvious the SplashScreen is about WotlK - its all about ice and the eyes fit exactly to Arthas.

Now to the purple Stuff - most abvious is that new Lost-Numbers-Theory. And now my Crazy thought ... about every Team that has VIKINGS in their name is playin in PURPLE shirts. Crazy ? Of course but i think thats the Hint to some new LOST VIKINGS Stuff.

I think you're wrong. You just want absolutly then the new game IS Diablo, so you're not thinking right. Instead of look the elements, and see what it's could be, you juste "know" this is Diablo, and search the elements related to Diablo.

We are talking about three thinks here :
1. The purple monster
2. The splash screen
3. The new game.

Who ever said that the splash screen = new game annoucement ? It could be two different thinks.

1. The purple monster : i think then the number of Lost (who should have the approbation tomorrow) are just for the fun, maybe an atwork of the new game, or something like that. I don't think there is a link between the splash and the monster.

2. The splash screen : if Blizzard didn't buy diablo3.com, didn't hiring someone for work with 'DI et DII guys', have you also think about D3 ? Just look the evidence : the ice is the same then the artwork of Arthas, the sky too. Diablo live in hell, not in ice storm, or ice castle. The eyes could be a lot of things, like we can see on starfeeder. The theory of the pentagram doesn't think right. The eyes are not at the center, the runes didn't apparear in the order of the drawing. The bigger probability is an annoucement about the Wratch King, just be honnest. Even it seems weird to me, because on blizzard.com the talk about their game, not details or extensions. (PS : maybe ou didn't pay attention, the picture resolution changed with the time).

3. New game : could be a total different think then the splash, nothing tell us it's related. The new game can be Diablo3 (domain stuff, hiring, etc .. ).

These guys really play with our mind. The most of you just really want Diablo 3, and look the evidence for this game. But too much element are not right.

I think that additional symbols near the 3 runes are tips which game is which "planet" in the 4th symbol. And now look closer - the diablo planet is kind of highlighted O_o.

The ice doesn't seems to melt ... but to "dislock", or move appart. Like an ice door. If the ice was melting, we've seen water. Doesn't seems to be the case.

Immek, like we said in French "It's pulling by the hair". You overreacting. If there was a big "Wow" on the sky, would you say "It's probably because when you're going to see D3, we're going to say "Wow, the game seems good ! ".
And your scheme doesn't seems right : the 4th rune is not at center, but on the border, at the same level then the 3 others.

The most probably it's battle.net, one for each blizzard environnement. Look at battle.net website, the symbol is a planet's cercle, with the three rings of games around.

Ok, lets take 4th symbol as the "battle.net". There are 3 BN games: SC, Diablo, Warcraft (not WoW). SC rune (according to my theory) is closest to the center (SC2 was announced), Diablo is a bit further and highlighted (it will be announced now), and Warcraft may be announced in some future time..
Or I can be wrong


EDIT: the BN rune is also the only one without the additional symbol. I can't think of any other association between them.

Act V in Diablo II takes place on Mount Arreat which is where the Worldstone was kept until it was destroyed. The entire end of the game was a winter scheme.

First off I think most of the theories that people come up with are fun to read. I also believe that blizzard wins for generating this much hype over a jpg file that changes each day.

Anyways, this is far fetched but the new symbol reminds me of the Sun, Earth, Moon and Dark moon. If you're ever play WoW then you know blizzard has used the term "dark moon" before for their "dark moon fair" The dark moon is basically a term for a second moon that's not really there but appears to be there at a certain alignment of the moon, sun and earth. Dark Moon is also a name for "Lilith". Lilith is said to be a daughter of Mephisto and was placed in as a quest giver for patch 1.11. Lilith is also a main character of the Diablo: The Sin War trilogy books that came out last year.

but of course, this word is a really big stretch, and if that's the best that the spelling theory has...(unless it spells a name or word from a different language, etc.)

but im totally stumped, so i make no ventures either way.

About the "TYRAEL IS LOST" theory.

First, the word CAVERN from day 2 was replaced with GLACIER (which is incorrect), meaning the theory was thrown off. Its not wrong though, not yet. It just means, TYRAEL Isn't LOST, he's something else.

It just means we have this instead:
Tundra - 04: T, R
Icy - 23: Y, I
Cold - 16: O, L
Cavern - 15: A N

Forming this: TYRA_L, plus I, O, N

Perhaps, TYRAEL IS GONE?

Just one thing about the Diablo III gen. forums.

Others have noted that you can also view the D4, D5, D6, etc. forums, but there's one key difference.

If you look at the drop down menu for searchable forums above D3, it will show the selection as "All Forums".

However, when you visit the Diablo III General Discussion (http://www.battle.net/forums/thread-sea ... d3-general), the Drop-down menu now has a selectable (and defaulted) "Diablo III General Discussion".

I am positive that Blizzard are having a special team that keeps lookout on such discussions. They learned about their flaw with the d3-general forums, so they made it work also for d4-6, so that we think it's nothing special.
