Blizzard as expected updated the splash image today, something is definitely breaking through the ice. Now about the hidden riddle, we did get a couple of surprises:

The image today is 23.jpg or W according to the theory. That wasn't the plan, we were expecting one of IABL. Either Blizzard is reacting to the riddle being cracked and is playing us, or they had something else in mind all along. The latter being more likely.
The image names might still mean something though, now we got WWI as folder name, and DOW as image letters. The numbers are now a mystery again, but a couple of theories are:
- D = Diablo, W for WarCraft, O for a new game, next letter might be S for StarCraft.
- World Of Diablo, unlikely with another letter coming.
- They might spell out DASHOW, the artist that worked with Blizzard on Diablo previously, and have a love for purple walruses! (Thanks Sebb630)
Icy, the new css name however continues to hint Diablo 3: Tundra, Cavern and Icy might be from
Drifter Cavern,
Frozen Tundra and
Icy Cellar in
Act V of Diablo 2.
The part of Mr Purple we got today is the upper right part. We can't know for sure if it will have legs nor not, so there might be 1 or 3 pieces left.
We also got a new "rune", and it's a familiar one for all of us StarCraft junkies, the
Protoss emblem. That means the first one probably is from Frostmourne, a symbol for Warcraft, second is Diablo and now third StarCraft.
With a couple of days left for WWI, and (at least) one missing piece from Mr Purple we should expect more runes, but from which game(s)?! It looks like Blizzard might be announcing something completely new. The evidence for Diablo 3 at WWI is no doubt weaker today than it was yesterday, but still there are still
six reasons as to why it is Diablo 3. Some of the new clues even hint there might be 2 games announced at WWI.
One thing is for certain, there will be at least one huge announcement at WWI, Rob Pardo
told GameIndustry.biz this at GDC:

They all seem to have so little extras, guess they'll get refined in the next few days. I would imagine it's just smaller versions of circle at first but they seem so uneven... Maybe wired artist signatures ? Wierd.
I'dd love to hear at the WWI the comeback of great participants of blizzard games, such as the woman that did kerrigans voice and stuff (dunno if she'll allready back or replaced actually, I guess you guys will shoot at my ignorance

If you reverse the picture's colours with paint or whatever, the hole thing does not look like ice, but like the ground cracking up and smoke coming out of the hole.
I got no idea how to add a picture to my comment, so you'll have to see for yourself^^
