Starcraft2.net.pl has posted
an interview with Dustin Browder. The English version is below the Polish version. They discuss the possibility of moving the release date, the end of the beta, and future plans. Unfortunately, they plan to end the beta at least a couple of weeks before release to deploy hardware and prepare for the launch. They do want to keep the beta open as long as possible, though.

I don't know what you're talking about. Does what mean it would be easier to balance a 4th faction?
Also, I doubt we'll ever see a fourth (playable in multiplayer) faction in an SC RTS. Definitely not in SC2.
And I like that. I've played WC3 a lot, and a few other RTSs, and when you get to 4 or more playable factions, they tend to copy each other a lot. I like how distinct SC's races are. It's just enough to give you some choices and make for plenty of matchups, but still few enough to all be rather distinct yet still balanced.
