At the conclusion of the the beta phase I still have some concerns.

Overall, I think zerg is still lacking somehow. Every unit seems to be a hard counter to every zerg unit. I rarely lost against zerg and rarely won with a zerg ally. Zerg is the hardest race IMO.

Terran, Terran is well balanced for the most part. Everything Terran works with seems to have its place and seems to work. I still have a hard time using banshees, but it can be done. Reapers are great and the new lower cost of their speed upgrade was much needed. I will even agree that tanks needed a nerf.

Protoss is there but not quite. Storm doesn't seem to get much use, but I still feel it is really good. Storm seems to be more balanced than it was in SC/BW. Zealots seem weaker, but I'm okay with that. Still feel stalkers need a little more damage per attack.

Sentries seem OP with their force field.

I can describe any of my statements above in more detail if anyone would like me to. Overall, I think the game is fairly balanced, but zerg still needs the most work.

i agree with audie in that zerg is hardest, but then again, im only a mid-high gold player pre patch 1,3 and platinum post patch 13 so im still not the best.

I agree that Zerg needs the most work. The Ultralisk needs to be brought up to standards, the Roach may need a tiny bit more incentive to use, and the Corruptor and Infestor should lose their Warcraft-esque spells. On the Protoss side of things, the Templar tree needs some more incentive to use. The same might be said for their capitol ships.

One thing that should be balanced out is AtA. The Viking and Void Ray dominate, whereas the Corruptor and Phoenix are still subpar. I would like to see the balance looking like this:

Viking - Counters Corruptor, Void Ray, capitol ships.
Mutalisk - Counters Viking, Void Ray.
Corruptor - Counters Mutalisk, Phoenix, capitol ships.
Phoenix - Counters Viking, Mutalisk, Void Ray.
Void Ray - Counters Corruptor, capitol ships.

This is probably a bit off, but you might be able to see my point.

i'm pretty ok with balance for the most part. ultras could use more health, but that's about it for zerg. agreed that frenzy and corruption are pretty gay. the corrupter should get it's old passive ability back where it turns air units into stationary turrets, or some tweaked version of that, was very matrix-esque. and i'm a little sad the mothership is so weak.

Being playing on dia and plat, using zergs mostly, no terran at all and some protoss, ended up doing zealots rushes so im not really that familiar with them, didnt want to lose =P, zealot rushes on sands are deadly.

Humans seems ok, helions are quite annoying against zergs, and emp s to much against toss

Toss, well, inmortals, they need something dif, i just cant find the right use for them.

Zergs are ok, corruptors seem a little weak but (i agree with tay tay, air to air doesnt feel right), well, thats the way zergs are, zerg air units have a lot of weaknesses, all of them. I find hard to use overseers skills. I dnt like frenzy, but, fungal and neural are great. Most casters units are used just for 1 skill, thats something that needs to be looked on, they all have some gay skills. And once i tech for hydras almost never morph a roach again.

There really needs to be more diversity throughout the leagues. I have played with Tomer and Audie and Sixen. And If they are placed in Diamond and Platinum and I can keep up with them and I'm only a gold player? Currently placed back to silver? Ofcourse they mostly play 2v2 so maybe thats where they are in that level. Who knows. As of now though Its quite easy for me to beat a diamond player. Just as easy is me losing to a bronze. Its just hard to explain but stress on it

i noticed when i was stuck in my gold league is that i was playing vs quite a number of platinums.

and i think this recent patch was iffy 3-2 placements put you in silver instead of gold like it used to

EMP removes all energy from targets within its radius. It also reveals cloaked units for a short amount of time.

i was first on plat, and all the matches were against mid diamond players and they gave me a lot less points than plat players after beating them, was really weird.

Yes, it does. It has the same effect on all units, whether it's enemy, ally, or even the player's own (including the Ghost that does it!).

Well first off sally, I played you with all my off races !

Second, yes I played mostly 2v2 and some 1v1. I started off silver and slowly worked my way up. I didn't get diamond overnight. I think the most important thing is consistency. I only had a 2-1 ratio and sometimes a 3-1 ratio, but I tend to have large bonus pools. One win gave me 50 points!

Maybe your "level" of play wasn't consistent? Maybe you went from playing very well to "not so well"? I have that problem, but who knows.

how does that bonus pull system works? i was allways getting 0 bonus..

if u havent played for X amount of time a bonus pool builds up, so when you win you take some of those bonus points to get a bigger win

its so people can keep up in the ranking, and skill > time (mostly) instead of having people with the most free time and skill being on top
